Super Bowl

Well here we are awaiting the start of the game. We went downtown Friday night, it was amazing to see all the people and things going on in Detroit. I can only remember being there for the Freedom festival fireworks and seeing a bigger crowd of people I hope that they can keep it up and comtinue to draw people there. We had our chance to be part of some of the big festivities but missed out. Mary’s cousins daughter is were in town worhing with some big name people for her job with product placements. She called us about 3:00 Friday and invited us to watch the taping of the Jimmy Kimmel show from the greenroom backstage with free food and drinks and a chance to possibly see some of the stars. My children jumped at the chance to join us, we had a wake to visit for the mother of a close friend and got a late start. John, Val, Lisa and Nick went in one car and Mary and I drove on our own. With the traffic and all of the street closings we got seperated, to make a long story short they got in and we did not because by the time we got to the Gem Theater they had closed off the street to the parking garage and  the Police would not let us in, my chance at glory denied by Detroits finest. We drove about a bit could find no where else to park and came home. Maybe next time I will have better luck, I hope one of them will share the experience with you all.

Scott does this have spell check for those of us that need it ?

One thing you can do is type your post in Microsoft word and spell check it there. Then you can simply cut and paste into your post.

Actually WordPress has a Spell Check built in, and I will ask David about installing it. (I thought it was already there.)

LET THERE BE SPELL CHECK! I have added the spell check feature along with a couple others (smileys anyone?) to the “tool bar” when you write a post. The spell check works by pressing the spell check button (it has an ABC and a check mark on it). This will open a new window that will check the page. You will see HTML in with the words, you should be able to safely ignore that. I added a 195,000 word English dictionary. I am sure you will find some word that is not listed quickly, but it can learn new words. Try it out and let me know if this seems sensible. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain……..
