For the Love of Dogs?

[Admin note: Sorry Aunt Mary, but I editted the title.  Something strange happened.  -S]

What’s wrong with this picture?

Len and I have been taking care of Ciccio for Lisa and Nick while they are vacationing in Florida for the winter break week. Does that sound right? I didn’t think so!

We love Ciccio (cheech-o), however he is still a puppy and a huge puppy at that. That combination has left us a bit worn out. He never seems to tire out and we are doing our best to make that happen! Barney thinks he has been attacked by a tornado, because Ciccio comes at him from all sides. Although, when Barn has had enough, he does give Ciccio a sound barking and a bit of snarling which makes Ciccio jump away for at least 30 seconds! We do have his taking of allergy pills licked (pun intended). Coated with peanut butter, they just slide down his throat once he has licked them off our fingers. It’s an art to know when to pull your fingers away before you feel his teeth! We have to have a separate bit of peanut butter for Barney (the placebo, I guess) or else he feels left out! Dogs are so much fun!!!!

Well Aunt Mary, I have found that a 18-month old child works pretty good at wearing out a puppy. Braylen and Abby play all day while I am at work and some nights when I get home Abby is so tuckered out that she just sleeps the night away. Maybe you can find a small child that you can rent to play with Ciccio while you have him! Another thing that helps keep Abby busy for a little while are her Dingo bones. I don’t know if Lisa and Nick give them to Ciccio but it takes Abby about 20 to 30 minutes to finish the larger one which gives me a little free time. Well I wish you, Uncle Len and Barney luck!

I have a child for rent if you need one :). As stated, he’s pretty good as wearing people and pets out!
