Calendar?

This message is for everyone, but really Scott would be the person to answer if it could be done.
I was thinking, I have a HORRIBLE memory when it comes to dates (bdays, anniversary’s, events, etc), so I wondered if we could create an area like a calendar that could keep those events marked. This way, we all could know the dates of people’s birthdays and such.
What’s everyone think?

I think this is a great idea Jodi. David is coming over for dinner tonight, and I will bring it up with him. I don’t think it would be a problem, since he has done this for two of our other sites.

I have added a calendar.
I am not sure HOW you wanted it displayed so I went about it 2 ways and everyone can like it how it is, or let me know and I will make changes.
It is in the side bar with my too FILLER events (they are awesome ;)) and the CALENDAR link at the top gives you a “grid” calendar with mouse overs with the events and then links to them.
The way to add an event is pretty simple - you just add a post. OF COURSE - there is a bit more.
1 - change the CATEGORY (on the right) to EVENTS and UNCHECK General.
2 - Scroll down to (on the right) it let’s you edit the TIMESTAMP. Check the box there and change the date there to the date of the event.
Then click PUBLISH - just like a post.
I can have it automatically add these events as posts if you would like. Let me know. I hope this is helpful.
David
PS - Anyone that is a iCal (MAC OS X) or Sunbird ( Mozilla’s caledar program) user, I can show you how to subscribe to the calendar.

Well, I was going to post and say that I talked to David about it and that we should see it in the next week or so, but he’s faster then lightning.
I posted my birthday and my Mom’s (Regina) to see how it works. Just remember to follow all of David’s steps (which I didn’t at first).
Thanks David!
