Ok I’m sure you want to know how this is possible, well let me explain. As most of you know Braylen and Jodi spent last week with me here in Georgia and once again I started to worry about how Braylen would do on the plane along with worrying about daycare once again. Well Braylen was just fine on the plane as he gave Jodi no problems at all. As for daycare Braylen took a couple of days to warm up but by the end of this trip he was actually asking to go to daycare!!!!!!
On Friday at work I had a co-worker invite us over for dinner. Well I was very concerned about going knowing it was my last night with the family and thought that Braylen would not have any fun. Well once we picked up Braylen from daycare and told him we were going to Mr. Ron’s house, he was very excited and kept saying were going to Mr John’s house (some reason he couldn’t get that R out) As soon as we got there he got very comfortable and talked with Mr. Ron and Mrs. Pam like he had known them for sometime. He also made friends with their two dogs Gigi and Bumler.
What I really learned from this was that even knowing that I find myself getting very worked up about certain situations for Braylen, when it comes down to it Braylen doesn’t share the same anxiety and simply makes the best of it. He really made this week and joy and taught me already to start trusting him and just let him work thru the situation and all will be well.

Well once again I have been reunited with my family this week. We spent most of the day (Jodi and Braylen) catching up on sleep from the early flight in. Jodi says that they won’t be coming in early like that because all they do is sleep when they get here. But I say that is fine by me because at least your here. In fact this time and the last I have taken a nap with Braylen which is really really great. So on Sunday we all woke up to a very cold and rainy morning. We were trying to find something to do and decided to just head out and see what happens. As we left the apartment the sky started to turn blue and the weather slowly started to get warmer. As we tried unsucesfully to find this park I had told Jodi about, we decided to head to Stone Mountain. Stone Mountain is a very cool park that we visited on our very first trip here and thought this would be a great place to bring Braylen……..so we did.
When we got there we purchased our tickets and headed towards our first activity for the day……RIDING THE DUCK!!!!

This was an old WWII boat that was overhauled into a tourist ride. We took a stroll around the park then made a great big splash into the lake. Of course I seemed to get the most wet from the entry but I didn’t mind because Braylen was having fun. While in the water Braylen got a chance to drive the duck as our tour guide (who was very funny and nice) let all of the kids take a turn at sitting behind the wheel and blowing the horn. Also along this ride we were given duck lips. Duck lips? you might ask? Yes it was our very own duck caller. Of course Braylen couldn’t figure out how to blow into it, but by the time the ride ended Braylen was a quacking machine and was calling it his quacker.
So next we headed to the pumpkin patch where Braylen ran around trying to pick up all of the very big pumpkins. During this time Braylen hit the WALL!!!! He was getting very tired and was very hungry. So mom ran off to get him a hot doggie as dad tried unsucessfully to calm him down. Of course mom stepped in once she got back, got him to eat his hot doggie, and got him laughing again. So next we headed to the play fort where mom and dad took turns following Braylen around as head ran all around.
After doing that for some time we decided it was time to go to the next activity. So after some discussion and trying to figure out where we were at, we headed toward the train ride. We took a very nice train ride around the mountain as Braylen sung his songs and sat between the two of us. By this time it was getting close to seven o clock as we made our way back to the car.
What started out as a gloomy cold and rainy day, truly turned out to be a great family day out.

Well for those who I have talked to about my time so far down here knows that a few things in regards to living down here haven’t exactly been what I was told, with that said the one thing that has really starting to pay off is this weather thing. As you can see from the above data, Atlanta is a much nicer place to be today!!!! |

When I saw the homerun by Mags on Saturday, I could only think of one other very memorable homerun in Tiger history.

Only proves that the Ford family are a bunch of idiots. If the Ilitch family can turn around the Red Wings AND the Tigers, then the Ford family should have guided the Lions to two Super Bowl victories by now.
