As you may have already noticed, there is a new header on our web site. This is what David came up with, with my help. Those are the cartoon characters of all of us. We are lined up in alphabetical order. Some of you don’t have much distiction between others, because there wasn’t much we could do. Others we knew little nuances that would work. Some of them we were stretching, like Nick having a baseball cap on.
Once David gets some time, though it’s not a priority, you will be able to click on the individual faces and the site will sort out that person’s posts and then list only those for you.

Hey gang. Like I mentioned before, we should watch the size of the images we upload. We can resize them with the WordPress software the site runs on, but it is best to get them down to a more managable size before uploading them. A good rule of thumb is to keep the images no larger then 450 pixels wide.
You can download a software that is good to resize and crop images. It is called Irfanview and it’s free.

If you fear downloading something from the internet, there is Microsoft Photo Editor, which should be loaded into your PC’s already, since I assume all of us are using Mr. Gates “wonderful” software. (Sarcasm in quotes.)

Just in case you didn’t see David’s comment, Spell Check is now loaded into the system. You can find it in the top bar along with the bold, italic and underline tools. It is the button with “ABC” and a check mark. It opens a separate window and you go from there.

So I have been a member of a sports forum that originally started with fans of sports logos and uniforms. Supposedly there are a few members with connections to various parts of the NHL. We know for a fact that Reebok, who makes all the jerseys for the NHL now will be making “form-fitting” jerseys next year. But they are also going to make various changes to all the teams jerseys. Reportedly black is going to be a color added to the Wings jerseys. When I find out more, I will post it.
So what do y’all think of that?

Wanted to let everyone know after seeing Brian’s post, that you should only post JPG’s, GIF’s, or PNG’s. These are much, much smaller in file size then BMP’s. Therefore we don’t use our storage space up as fast, and they show up faster when calling up the web page.

As you can see, there is a list of all our names in the right hand column. After you post something, you name will become a link to sort out all your posts. So anyone that comes here and only wants to see yours only has to click on your name. If you click on “AUTHORS” above it will send you to a list that will do the same thing. I believe the header that David designed, with cartoons pictures of all of us will do this as well. “ARCHIVES” will sort the posts by months, no matter who posted them. I will be sending the email (hopefully) later tonight on how to post and add pictures. For those of you that have already set up your password with me, please post to see if you understand or are having any problems.

Welcome to Fab-Family.Com, our internet web page to keep up on all things Fab. Just to let you know, the header that David designed will be up soon. He is rather busy as I have mentioned. But he did have enough time to get us set up and moving. For those of you that haven’t given me a password, please let me know by replying to the email I sent. I will be sending out instructions on how to log in, post, and add pictures. Thank you for your patience.
